If the HONEY produced in Nepal (locally named as “Maha” ) were to be given a synonym, it would be “UNIQUE”. For a very long time, the semi-nomadic Chepang communities of Nepal have harvested honey and their slash-and-burn mode of existence has always been intrinsically related to the adaptable Chiuri (Indian Butter Tree), Rudilo, and Mustard plants found along the Mahabharat sub-Himalayan belt of Nepal.
We offer you one of the highest-quality products that are ethically harvested from “Apis Mellifera ” bees. These bees are commuted to different areas of the sub-Himalayan belt, depending upon the favorable climate for the specific flowering seasons for Mustard, Chiuri, and Rudilo.
Types of Honey we offer
1) Chiuri Honey
Chiuri (Diploknema butyracea) is a medium-sized tree that inhabits in sub-Himalayan tracks of steep slopes and cliffs at an elevation of 400 to 1400 meters from west to east of Nepal.
Chiuri honey is raw unpasteurized honey harvested in Chiuri forest. In order for bees to obtain pollen from Chiuri flowers during blossom season, farmers keep bee colonies of general bees (Apis mellifera or Apis cerana) close to the Chiuri forest.
This honey typically crystallizes even in the summer and has a characteristic Chiuri flavor. This honey possesses anti-microbial and immune-boosting qualities, just like other organic raw honey.
